EZtension Magnet Replacement Guide

⚠️ SAFETY WARNING

The rare earth magnets in your EZtension are extremely powerful and can:

  • Jump together from 8+ inches apart

  • Shatter on impact

  • Cause injury

ALWAYS wear safety glasses and handle with care!

Tools Required

  • 1.5mm hex key

Replacement Steps

  1. Prepare the EZtension Position the EZtension with magnets facing upward and the text side visible.

  2. Remove the broken magnet

    • Using a 1.5mm hex key, remove the set screw from the pocket containing the broken magnet.

    • Use the end of the hex key to carefully extract the magnet (it should attach to the hex key).

    • Immediately wrap the removed magnet in a paper towel and discard safely.

  3. Install the new magnet

    • Place the new magnet in the empty pocket with the larger countersink opening facing the side with text.

    • Secure the magnet with your thumb to prevent movement.

  4. Secure the magnet

    • Reinsert the set screw using a 1.5mm hex key from the text side.

    • The countersink will guide the screw through the magnet.

    • The magnet will lift slightly as the setscrew passes through - this is normal.

Completion

You've successfully replaced the magnet!
